Meet Dr. Laura Wedge

Advanced Facial Aesthetic Practitioner

With over 13 years of hands-on experience in facial aesthetics, Laura brings an evidence-based, holistic approach to every patient she treats. She qualified from Cardiff University in 2008, later completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation in 2012.

Having trained extensively in non-surgical facial treatments, Laura is committed to delivering subtle, balanced results that promote confidence, comfort, and long-term wellbeing.

Our Philosophy: Ageing Well, Not Anti-Ageing

Aesthetic treatments should never be about chasing perfection. Instead, we focus on restoring harmony, supporting the skin’s natural function, and helping you feel more like yourself — refreshed, rested, and radiant.

We specialise in treating volume loss, skin texture concerns, and facial balance affected by:

  • Ageing
  • Genetics
  • Weight fluctuations
  • Lifestyle factors (e.g., sun exposure or medication)

Our Treatments

Wrinkle Relaxing Injections (Toxin)

  • Forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet
  • Gummy smile correction
  • Jawline slimming (masseter)
  • Migraine management
  • Downturned mouth (DOA)

Dermal Fillers

  • Full-face rejuvenation
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty
  • Chin and jawline sculpting
  • Lip and perioral enhancement

Polynucleotides

A regenerative injectable that promotes skin cell repair, boosts hydration, and improves elasticity — ideal for delicate areas such as under the eyes, neck, and décolletage.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

A natural rejuvenation method using your own blood to stimulate collagen. Also suitable for acne scarring and hair restoration.

Thread Lifts

A minimally invasive procedure using dissolvable sutures to lift sagging skin and enhance contours — delivering immediate and lasting results.

Microneedling

Target fine lines, scarring, and skin laxity through controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. Often paired with PRP or stem cell serums for maximum benefit.

Fat Dissolving (DesoFace)

A targeted injectable treatment to contour stubborn areas of facial fat — particularly the lower face and under the chin.

Medical-Grade Skincare

High-performance skincare, backed by science.

Our prescription-only formulations are designed to treat common and complex skin concerns—including acne, fine lines, melasma, and hyperpigmentation—with proven ingredients like hydroquinone, retinoids, azelaic acid, and high-strength vitamin C.

Each protocol is carefully selected to support your skin’s health and enhance the results of your in-clinic treatments.

The most powerful anti-ageing step? Daily, broad-spectrum SPF.

Frequently asked questions
What are facial aesthetic treatments?

Facial aesthetic treatments are non-surgical procedures designed to enhance and restore the face’s natural features. They can reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, restore lost volume, improve skin texture, and harmonise facial proportions — all without the need for invasive surgery.

Are the results natural-looking?

Yes. Laura focuses on subtle, balanced results that enhance your existing features. The goal is to help you look refreshed — not “done.” A conservative approach, combined with a deep understanding of facial anatomy, ensures treatments complement your unique expressions.

Is there downtime after treatment?

Most treatments involve minimal downtime. You may experience slight swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which typically resolves within a few days. You’ll receive detailed aftercare advice tailored to your treatment.

How long do the results last?

It depends on the treatment:

  • Anti-wrinkle injections typically lasts 3–4 months
  • Dermal fillers last between 6–18 months depending on the area and product used
  • Polynucleotides and PRP require a course for optimal results but promote longer-term skin health
  • Thread lifts can last up to 18 months or longer
Are treatments painful?

Discomfort is minimal. Most treatments involve tiny injections and are well tolerated. Laura uses advanced techniques and numbing agents to ensure patient comfort at all times.

Is it safe?

All treatments are carried out by Laura — a qualified dentist with additional postgraduate qualifications and over a decade of experience in facial aesthetics. She uses only regulated, evidence-based products and follows strict hygiene and safety protocols.

Who is suitable for treatment?

Most healthy adults are suitable, though a full medical history and consultation is required. Certain treatments may not be appropriate during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. During your consultation, Dr. Wedge will assess your needs and recommend the most appropriate options.

What is the “cooling-off” period?

Patient safety and informed decision-making are key. For treatments involving dermal fillers, you’ll be offered a cooling-off period after your consultation. This allows you time to reflect, ask questions, and feel fully confident before proceeding.

What is the difference between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?
  • Anti-wrinkle injections (botulinum toxin) relax the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, such as frown lines, forehead lines, or crow’s feet.
  • Dermal fillers restore lost volume and structure, treating static lines and enhancing contours (e.g., cheeks, lips, jawline).

While both are injectables, they serve different purposes and are often used together for a natural, balanced result.

What makes medical-grade skincare different?

Medical-grade products contain higher concentrations of active ingredients than over-the-counter skincare. They're clinically tested, often prescription-based, and designed to improve skin health on a deeper level — especially when used alongside aesthetic treatments.
